CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer, PE to join our dynamic and collaborative land development team remotely in Tampa!

The Senior Civil Engineer provides technical leadership and strategic direction for land development engineering design projects, guiding teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept development to successful delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring projects meet client specifications, quality standards, budget requirements, and schedule commitments. Serving as both a hands‑on contributor and a mentor, this position plays a key role in advancing technical excellence and strengthening the firm’s reputation for delivering high‑quality engineering solutions.

Duties Include

• Leads and manages the design team during the conceptual and development phases of projects.
• Develops detailed action plans and resource estimates for labor, materials, and timelines required to successfully complete projects.
• Evaluates and selects vendors based on technical competence, capabilities, resources, and financial stability.
• Monitors project progress, comparing actual performance and costs against established estimates, and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Partners with the design team to revise and refine project plans in response to challenges or changing requirements.
• Prepares and presents regular project status reports, including progress, risks, and financial updates, to senior leadership.
• Reviews and analyzes existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
• Collaborates with operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate with project engineers across other locations to exchange knowledge, solutions, and best practices.
• Manage a staff of junior engineers and delegate work as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
