Timmons Group is seeking Civil Project Engineer II or III for our Land Development Group in our Washington, DC office. Projects range from large scale industrial and distribution projects to public land development projects like schools, jails, fire stations, community centers and parks.

We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Our project engineers will typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field required.
• EIT is preferred.
• 2-8 years of professional experience in land development civil engineering preferred (entry-level considered).
• Experience preparing civil site plans (layout, utilities, grading & drainage, erosion control, stormwater) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design project components using Civil 3D and office software.
• Perform engineering calculations and problem-solving using formulas and computer tools.
• Prepare material specifications from catalogs and research.
• Develop design details and complete plan sets.
• Conduct objective reports for project completion.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Perform field observations, inspections, and data collection.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams under senior guidance.
