Job summary

AKRF, Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for our High Bridge, NJ office. You will work on stormwater management design, grading, utility design, and land use in New Jersey, with a mix of planning through design and occasional field work.

The role emphasizes site layout, hydrologic analysis, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on resilient infrastructure and public health. A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 3–5 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience related to urban green stormwater infrastructure and design.
• EIT preferred; valid driver’s license.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and technical support for engineering design projects including site layout, grading, stormwater management, drainage/conveyance system design, and related disciplines.
• Support development of construction documents and specifications for stormwater management.
• Assist with research, operations and maintenance, asset management, regulatory compliance, and program development tasks.
• Manage and update task budgets, schedules and deadlines with attention to scope and potential creep.
• Represent AKRF through direct client interactions on projects.
• Support integrated and innovative outcomes through science and design of resilient infrastructure.
• Contribute to adaptation and resilience to climate change in urban environments and public health.
