Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Civil Project Engineer in Weehawken Township, NJ for an on-site, permanent role. You will design and permit construction plans for site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities, coordinating with the project team to meet regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, is a licensed PE, and has experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools. Strong communication and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• Experience with land development design and permitting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and permitting of construction plans for site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater treatment and conveyance, water and sewer, roadway, pump station and force main design.
• Provide technical and design support, prepare reports in technical writing format, and coordinate with team members to complete work on time.
• Coordinate project submittals, facilitate regulatory agency approvals, and obtain construction permits.

Job Details

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the design and permitting of construction plans for site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater treatment and conveyance, water and sewer, roadway, pump station and force main design. This individual will also provide technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects reporting directly to their project manager. Applicant must be able to communicate and coordinate technical evaluations and designs, produce reports in technical writing format, and correspond with other team members to complete work in a timely and efficient manner. Must have the ability to coordinate project submittals, facilitate regulatory agency approvals, and obtain construction permits.

Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

Professional Engineering License Required

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office required. Hydraflow Storm Sewer, Hydrograph, and WaterCad preferred.

Must have strong communication and writing skills.

Experience with design of land development projects preferred.
