Parkhill in Oklahoma City is seeking a Professional Civil Engineer with an aviation specialization to join our growing team. This full-time role oversees engineering design, reviews and seals work, mentors staff, and serves as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.

You will work on aviation and transportation projects, applying FAA design standards and ensuring code compliance across all phases. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, with Oklahoma PE licensure preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional engineer registration (PE) in OK.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design software.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA design standards, stormwater management, and site development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the technical design of aviation or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform engineering work independently and ethically, with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, construction practices, and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees.
  • Serve as Engineer-of-Record on aviation civil design projects.
  • Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, plans, and specifications.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and code compliance across all phases of civil design.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex site layout, grading, drainage, and utility challenges.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers in civil engineering principles and software tools (e.g., Civil 3D).
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure environmental and FAA compliance.
  • Support proposal development and technical content for business development pursuits.
  • Engage in internal design reviews, peer QA/QC checks, and client technical meetings.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry codes, technologies, and aviation design practices.
