Job summary

Brown and Caldwell seeks two Senior Civil Engineers to lead high-performing teams delivering water, wastewater, and remediation solutions across a broad West region. The Civil PDL will oversee multiple offices, manage workload, and mentor staff, while coordinating with PMs, DMs, and sales teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in civil design, PE licensure, and a track record of leading multi-office projects, with a focus on quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• PE licensure is required and SMS competencies expected within BC's framework.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant design discipline experience.
• Experience leading civil water/wastewater projects or similar infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise design discipline staff with daily oversight and development support.
• Communicate workload and progress through regular meetings with the discipline team.
• Contribute technical input for sales efforts and proposals.
• Develop and manage discipline scope, schedule, and effort in partnership with PMs/DMs.
• Coordinate staffing, schedule adjustments, and escalate issues to leadership.
• Collaborate with other PDLs and the National Practice Leader on resources and standards.
• Lead discipline design meetings and communicate direction to the team.
• Contribute to standards development and ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team with clear expectations.
