Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco's Department of Building Inspection is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to perform structural and architectural review of building permit applications for construction, alteration, and repair. You will assess plans, calculations and documents for compliance with the SF Building Code and seismic standards.

You will coordinate with property owners, contractors and design professionals, prepare technical notes and reports, enforce codes, and support permit

Qualifications

• Three years of verifiable civil engineering experience.
• Two years of experience at or above Assistant Civil Engineer level (5203).
• California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• Valid driver's license.
