Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a paralegal to support attorneys through all stages of civil litigation in a downtown San Diego office. The position is on-site and involves discovery, deposition prep, court filings, and trial support to ensure strong client service.

Candidates should have 2+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience, familiarity with San Diego courts, and a paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification. A four-year degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all stages of civil litigation, from case opening through discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Draft, prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other legal documents.
• Manage document productions and assist with drafting and responding to written discovery.
• Review, organize, summarize, and maintain case documents and evidence.
• Prepare deposition page and line summaries and organize materials for attorney review.
• Maintain litigation calendars, court deadlines, hearing dates, and case schedules.
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, meetings, and trials with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
• Conduct factual investigations and gather relevant case information.
• Prepare witness lists, exhibit lists, trial materials, and other litigation support documents.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files.
