Job summary

Evans & Dixon in St. Louis seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with 7–10+ years of litigation experience to join our team.

You will work with a group of seasoned attorneys on state and federal matters, handling complex filings, depositions and trial preparation in a fast-paced Midwest practice. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent written and oral advocacy, strong multitasking abilities, and a durable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten plus years of experience in the legal field.
• Active Missouri license or eligibility to become licensed.
• Ability to become licensed in Illinois, Kansas, Iowa or Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with highly experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants as a team.
• Assist with trial preparation, evidence organization, and presentations for trial.
• Handle depositions, mediations, conferences between claimants and judges, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions and other legal documents.

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney in our St. Louis office. We are seeking an attorney with 7 to 10+ years of experience who has great litigation and trial skills and is eager to put those skills to work. As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work with other highly experienced Civil Litigation Attorneys. You will participate in different aspects of civil litigation, continue building an extensive record of successful trial practice, and will be working with a team of attorneys on a multitude of cases. Successful candidates will have a durable work ethic, superior ability to multitask, and enjoy working in a fast pace and intellectually stimulating setting.

What you'll do:

• Collaboration: You will have the opportunity to work side by side with highly experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants as a team.
• Trial Prep: Collaborate with experienced litigation attorneys to prepare evidence, documents and presentations as you prepare for trial.
• Attorney Responsibilities: You will be responsible for handling depositions, mediations, conferences between claimants & judges, and court appearances as you grow and evolve in your legal career.
• Create: You will work on drafting pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.

Education and Qualifications:

• A law degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Actively licensed in Missouri
