Job summary

Orion Placement in Walnut Creek is seeking a seasoned civil litigation attorney to join an established Bay Area firm. You will manage civil matters through the entire lifecycle, develop strategy, draft pleadings, and contribute to case success through court hearings, depositions, and negotiated resolutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong litigation writing, research, analytical, and case management skills.
• Experience handling discovery, motions, depositions, and litigation strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters through multiple stages of the litigation lifecycle.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate claims and defenses, and help drive matters toward successful resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other proceedings.
• Work directly with clients to understand objectives, provide strategic guidance, and communicate case developments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently managing deadlines and priorities.
• Negotiate practical resolutions while remaining prepared to advocate aggressively when litigation requires it.
