Career Legal in Troy, MI is growing and seeking a civil litigation attorney with at least two years of civil defense experience to join our health care defense team in our on-site office.

You will manage your own caseload, develop defense strategies for health care provider clients, and contribute to a paperless, technology-driven practice that supports aggressive results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Must be admitted to the Michigan Bar in good standing.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload and contribute to strategy.

Growing Multi-State Health Care Law Firm | Full-Time | On-Site, Troy, MI

A growing, multi-state health care law firm with four decades of experience is seeking a talented, motivated civil litigation attorney to join its Troy, Michigan office. This is an immediate opening for an associate with at least two years of civil litigation defense experience. Experience in medical malpractice defense, federal court and complex litigation is a plus, but any form of civil defense experience will be considered.

About the Position

You will manage your own caseload and help develop successful case strategies for health care provider clients. The firm has an exceptional reputation for results, and you will be expected to build on that reputation. We are a digital firm, so you will work in a paperless, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active member of the Michigan Bar in good standing
• Minimum of two years of civil litigation defense experience
• Ability to handle a caseload independently and contribute to case strategy
• Currently practicing and comfortable working to billable hour targets
• Strong proficiency with electronic file management and Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Experience in medical malpractice defense, federal court or complex litigation
• Experience in health care licensing, compliance, regulatory or white collar criminal matters
• Salary range: $115,000-$140,000, depending on experience
• Bonus paid on reaching the 1,900-hour billable target
