Orionplacement is seeking a litigation attorney to join a trial‑focused team in Troy, Michigan. You will manage cases from inception to resolution, draft pleadings, and conduct complex legal research and strategy with increasing courtroom responsibility.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, Michigan Bar admission, and opportunities to work on high‑stakes civil matters with seasoned trial attorneys who mentor growth and development.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Michigan Bar license or eligibility for prompt admission.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Professional judgment, integrity, and a team‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation‑driven caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis on complex factual and legal issues.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials with increasing responsibility.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and legal staff on case strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
