Orion Placement in Troy, MI seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to defend clients in state and federal civil cases, on-site at our Detroit-area office.

The role requires active Michigan Bar, 1+ year civil defense experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a billable-hours environment. You'll draft pleadings, assist with depositions, and collaborate with senior attorneys.

Competenze

• Active Michigan Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Experience with litigation procedures, discovery, pleadings, and motion practice.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, stay organized, and work collaboratively.
• Federal court litigation or complex civil litigation defense experience preferred.
• Healthcare litigation, medical malpractice defense, or federal civil rights defense experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a billable-hours environment.
