Confidential Employer in Woodland Hills, CA, seeks an on-site Litigation Attorney to manage civil matters from inception through resolution. Hybrid scheduling may be possible after a successful onboarding period; initial on-site collaboration is essential.

Requirements include a J.D. from an accredited school and active CA Bar, with ~1+ year of litigation experience. Strong writing, research, and client-service skills are vital for success in a fast-paced defense practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ year of litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Insurance defense, civil litigation, personal injury, construction defect, or employment litigation experience a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Experience tracking billable hours is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation cases through all phases with guidance from experienced attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare thorough legal analysis.
• Participate in case strategy, settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Attend court appearances, depositions, hearings, and client meetings.
• Communicate professionally with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
• Maintain accurate billing records while meeting annual billable hour expectations.
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex litigation matters while delivering exceptional client service.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year

Location

Woodland Hills, California. This is an on-site position where you\'ll collaborate closely with an experienced litigation team. There may be an opportunity for a hybrid schedule after several months of successful employment, but this role is not fully remote.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California. Litigation experience is strongly preferred, as experience recording billable hours and managing litigation matters is important for success in this role.
