Mortenson Construction is seeking an Operator Foreman to oversee heavy equipment operation per project plans and regulatory requirements. The role involves organizing operators, ensuring safety adherence, and directing work to meet schedules.

The candidate will supervise crews, maintain equipment, and coordinate with site management. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with a focus on mentoring staff and maintaining project safety standards.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications required.
• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Current driver's license with appropriate classifications and endorsements.
• Strong teamwork orientation and positive attitude.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance manuals.
• Ability to operate equipment by manipulating controls and gears.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment as directed (blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, skid-steer, booms, rollers).
• Follow safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and identify malfunctions.
• Adhere to work plans and adjust sequences to meet schedules.
• Assist in scheduling and estimating crew-hours and resolve issues.
• Supervise and direct operators, providing coaching and feedback.
