Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Superintendent (CCGT) to lead direct-hire and subcontractor activities, ensure safe, quality delivery, and coordinate with Field Engineers to interpret drawings and specifications. The role supports preconstruction planning and prepares work packages with a focus on schedules and resource management.

Based in Cheyenne, WY or Houston, TX, the candidate will relocate to supported locations as needed and report to the Lead Civil Field Superintendent.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or related technical field.
5–8 years of civil construction experience (9–12 years if no degree).
Experience on large civil projects.
Strong knowledge of concrete placement methods.
Ability to supervise craft professionals and coordinate with field teams.

Responsibilities

Monitors and organizes direct hire/subcontractor activities.
Prepares construction drawings and sketches with Field Engineers.
Develops planning construction methods and procedures.
Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
Reviews installation work packages with foreman and general foreman.
Reports and reviews installed quantities to Field Engineering for verification.
