Job Overview

Bechtel is seeking a Civil-Structural Field Engineer to support construction projects, primarily involving civil, structural, and architectural scope, including mass concreting and steel reinforcement. The role involves supporting superintendents, creating work packages, quality control, and ensuring safety and standards compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues.
• Support construction teams in meeting project schedules and quality standards.
• Develop work plans, perform inspections, and manage material and equipment requisitions.
• Perform civil field activities including inspections, planning, and supporting installation of formwork, rebar, concrete, and structural steel.
• Ensure documentation and procedural compliance.
• Support the preparation of construction drawings, schedules, and temporary facilities.
• Review specifications, purchase orders, and technical data to advise on-site activities.
• Coordinate subcontractor efforts and manage changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years if applicable.
• Ability to conduct field inspections and work in high-paced environments.
