Qualifications

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Overview

A leading heavy civil construction company in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join its Precon Department. This organization manages complex civil and infrastructure projects, leveraging technology, equipment, and geological analysis to deliver successful outcomes for clients. The Civil Estimator will play a key role in preparing competitive cost estimates that directly influence the company's ability to win work and execute demanding projects.

What you'll do

• Provide value engineering recommendations
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Civil Estimator in the civil construction industry
• Proven track record of take-offs and estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities, etc.)
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

• Proficiency in civil estimating software preferred (Agtek, Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, etc.)
