Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Nashville, TN seeks a Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our preconstruction department and drive competitive cost estimates for civil projects. You will analyze drawings and specs to prepare detailed estimates and guide bid strategies to help win work.

You will solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes, maintain cost data, and provide value engineering recommendations with a focus on accuracy and timely bids.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil construction industry.
• Proven track record estimating excavation, sitework, utilities.
• Proficient in Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is absolutely essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate the estimating & bid processes for our civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.

We are searching for an experienced Civil Estimator in Nashville to lead our Construction Precon Department.

As a Preconstruction Estimator - you will manage, and prepare, our competitive cost estimates for all civil construction projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win work and execute projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to join our team.

Overview:
