Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Community Design group in Flint. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore preferred) and have a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required; GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit knowledge is preferred. Typical responsibilities include assisting senior engineers, obtaining municipal drawings, analyzing rainfall data, preparing spreadsheets, and

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Valid driver’s license
Familiarity with Microsoft Office required
Knowledge of GIS/AutoCAD/MicroStation/Revit preferred

Responsibilities

Perform routine calculations under senior engineer
Obtain drawings from local municipalities
Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data
Copy and scan project related drawings
Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools
Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them
Work with the Planning department
Work with the Design (structural) department
Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department
Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
