Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for the Community Design group in Traverse City, MI. You will pursue a BA/BS in civil or environmental engineering and assist engineers with data analysis, drawings, and tool development.

Strong communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, and self-motivation are essential. Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and be organized.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (freshman/sophomore preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under senior engineer.
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
• Analyze rainfall and flow data.
• Copy and scan project drawings.
• Assist engineer with spreadsheet tools development.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers.
• Collaborate with Planning, Design, Hydraulic, and Hydrology departments.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients.
• Maintain safe working environment.
