Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Austin, Texas, is seeking an Intern/Co-op to support civil and environmental engineering projects within a team environment.

You will assist with reports, data gathering, drafting proposals, and basic CAD/Revit/GIS tasks, along with field observations on water/wastewater infrastructure. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and be motivated, dependable, and ready to contribute to local and national projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Coursework in planning, design, construction of infrastructure, and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports
• Assist technical staff with data gathering, reporting, and calculations for design projects
• Gain exposure to and perform basic tasks in CAD, Revit, GIS and other design programs
• Perform field observations and assist with field work as needed
• Work with engineering modeling software such as CAD, Revit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and InfoWorks ICM
• Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required
