Job summary

Water Works Engineers in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer (E2) to support delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will assist Project Managers and Project Engineers in planning, design, and execution, ensuring safe, compliant systems.

Requirements include a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), EIT preferred, 3–7 years’ experience, CAD proficiency, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification strongly preferred.
• 3–7 years of civil and environmental engineering experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and development of civil and environmental projects, focusing on site development and water infrastructure.
• Perform calculations for preliminary and detailed designs, including grading and drainage.
• Prepare reports, plans, and specifications to support project development.
• Develop and review cost estimates to support budgeting.
• Review construction submittals for adherence to project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Under supervision, conduct field inspections to monitor progress and address on-site issues.
• Collaborate with project teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to meet goals and schedules.
• Ensure all projects meet standards, codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Contribute to planning for office expansions and new projects.
