Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer to support projects in Virginia with supervision from senior staff. You will assist with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater planning, and design of facilities while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will collaborate with professionals across disciplines, perform field tasks, and prepare reports. A BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering and 0–2 years of experience is required; co-op/internship preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental Engineering, or other similar degree is required.
Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
Minimum 0-2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Assist in stormwater master planning at a basin or watershed scale.
Assist in floodplain evaluations, including modeling and permit support.
Support power sector projects including existing infrastructure maintenance and new infrastructure design.
Assist in the design and analysis of stormwater management facilities.
Provide field support for water quality studies and watershed assessments.
Assist in civil site design and planning efforts.
