Qualifikationen

• Two years of post-secondary education with a degree in Civil Engineering/Land Surveying Technology within 6 weeks of hire date (or equivalent).
• Class D driver’s license required.
• Must obtain MnDOT Construction Technician Certifications as determined by Employer: Bituminous Plant/Street, Concrete, Grading/Base, and Bridge Construction.
• Must be able to obtain MnDOT Team Leader Bridge Inspection Certification.
• Entry level experience with surveying principles and CAD.

Aufgaben

• Designs highways, prepares plans and specifications under general direction.
• Performs construction staking and inspection of County roads and bridges.
• Oversees and inspects contract projects for compliance and safety.
• Performs inspections of bituminous/concrete plants and grading operations.
• Performs surveys using GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other instruments.
• Acts as crew chief for survey crews and coordinates with contractors and utilities.
