Moody and Associates, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician to join our engineering team at either the Meadville, PA or Erie, PA location.

The role involves assisting with detailed design, drafting, client liaison, and permit coordination for infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will perform site inspections, develop plans and cost estimates, review development plans for environmental impact, and support regulatory permitting.

Competenze

• 1–4 years of demonstrated experience in civil or environmental engineering or similar
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar
• EIT certification in relevant fields is preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with HydroCAD, Stormflow, GIS, Civil 3D or other engineering software is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365
• Strong technical writing and excellent communication skills

• Adhere to safety requirements for company and clients
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan, design, and supervise site development and construction initiatives
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to collect data for planning and design
• Develop design plans, specs, and cost estimates for infrastructure improvements
• Review subdivision, land development, grading, and zoning plans for environmental impact
• Assist in permit applications (NPDES, waterway permits) to ensure compliance
• Provide on-site engineering support and construction monitoring for regulatory compliance
• Create and review CAD drawings and engineering plans for various projects
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and visual documentation of project specs and changes
• May supervise Moody subcontractors and field staff with supervisory help
• Prepare field condition notes and sketches
• Use Excel and other software to tabulate field and lab data
• Read and interpret base maps
• Occasionally work after hours and weekends; travel to project sites as needed
• Familiar with water/wastewater engineering is a plus
• Be adaptable to changing project requirements and keep safety a priority
