Job summary

MECO Heneghan, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician in Pittsfield to support project engineers with design drawings and documentation for municipal and government projects.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and detail-oriented, thriving in a small-team environment. The role involves preparing site plans, grading layouts, utility designs, and plan sheets, while assisting with modeling, takeoffs, and construction documents.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (3+ years preferred).
• Experience drafting civil engineering plans for municipal/public works is a plus.
• Strong understanding of drafting standards and plan production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings using Civil 3D: site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, roadway and drainage design, plan and profile sheets.
• Assist in drafting, revisions, and production of construction documents.
• Support project engineers with modeling surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, and quantity takeoffs.
• Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to company drafting standards.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate and timely deliverables for municipal and government clients.
