Job summary

Jobot in Centennial, Colorado seeks a Civil Engineering Team Lead to guide a team of 2–6 engineers and drive land development projects from inception to completion. You will ensure designs meet client goals and company standards.

You will mentor staff, oversee QA/QC, budgets, and schedules, and liaison with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure successful outcomes. Colorado PE license preferred, 5+ years' experience, AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Colorado PE license preferred.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in land development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and utility design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2 to 6 engineers, delegating tasks, managing workload, and mentoring junior staff through feedback and performance reviews.
• Manage land development projects end to end including QA/QC, budget control, schedule management, and technical review of construction plans, cost estimates, and calculations.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for your team, ensuring designs meet applicable criteria, client goals, and company quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, and review entities.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and implementing more efficient workflows.
• Sign and seal drawings prepared under your supervision.

What You Will Do

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in land development
• Colorado PE License preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, utility design, and associated modelling software including StormCAD, CUHP, EPA SWMM, and HEC-RAS
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Familiarity with Colorado regulatory agencies and local review and approval processes
