Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Team Lead for land development in Colorado Springs. You will lead a team of engineers, oversee end-to-end project delivery, perform QA/QC, and manage budgets and schedules. You will act as the main technical resource, ensuring designs meet client goals and company standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years in land development, and strong CAD and hydrology modeling skills. PE license in Colorado is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in land development.
• Colorado PE License preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, utility design, and modeling software (StormCAD, CUHP, EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS).
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate complex technical concepts.

What You Will Do

• Lead a team of 2 to 6 engineers, delegating tasks, managing workload, and mentoring junior staff through meaningful feedback and performance reviews
• Manage land development projects end to end including QA/QC, budget control, schedule management, and technical review of construction plans, cost estimates, and calculations
• Serve as the primary technical resource for your team, ensuring designs meet applicable criteria, client goals, and company quality standards
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, and review entities
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and implementing more efficient workflows
• Sign and seal drawings prepared under your supervision

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in land development
• Colorado PE License preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
