Job summary

MnDOT is seeking an undergraduate student in Civil/Construction/Environmental/Geo/Structural Engineering (or Land Management) for a summer student worker position. Responsibilities include assisting engineering offices with pre-engineering tasks across MnDOT projects.

The role offers hands-on transportation experience in design, surveying, project management, bridge maintenance, materials, environmental stewardship, water resources, hydraulics and traffic.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate student pursuing civil/construction/environmental/geo/structural engineering or land management.
• Must be enrolled in two or more classes per semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist MnDOT offices with pre-engineering work as assigned by the supervisor.
• Gain hands-on transportation experience in design, surveying, and project management.
• Support projects in bridge maintenance, materials, environmental stewardship, water resources, hydraulics and traffic.
