Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineering Manager to lead the planning, permitting, and delivery of electric transmission projects. This hands-on leadership role balances technical depth with people leadership and project ownership.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams, oversee calculations and drawings, and maintain quality, schedule, and budget. The position offers growth, collaboration across disciplines, and the chance to influence energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; a Master's is preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (multi-state reciprocity preferred).
• Experience leading civil infrastructure projects with permitting and construction oversight.
• Strong ability to lead teams and manage cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering efforts for siting, permitting, and design of electric transmission projects.
• Direct and coordinate tasks to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Guide multidisciplinary collaboration across engineering teams.
• Oversee preparation and review of calculations, drawings, and deliverables.
• Conduct field assessments, site inspections, and construction-phase support.
• Support proposal development including scope and budgets.
