Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager to lead electric transmission siting, permitting, and design. This hands-on leadership role balances technical depth with project oversight and team development, guiding collaboration across disciplines to deliver complex projects.

You will mentor engineers, oversee calculations and drawings, and coordinate with clients and regulators to ensure quality and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (multi-state reciprocity preferred).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, permitting, and construction practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering efforts for electric transmission siting, permitting, and design.
• Direct and coordinate project tasks, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
• Guide multidisciplinary collaboration across engineering teams.
• Oversee preparation and review of calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Conduct field assessments, site inspections, and construction-phase support.
• Participate in proposal development, including scope and budget creation.
• Ensure quality through peer reviews, QA/QC processes, and technical oversight.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders.
