Job summary

The Civil Engineer seeks a Civil Engineering Manager to lead and grow its NYC civil/site team, driving revenue growth and overseeing project delivery across land development with commercial, residential, and institutional work. This senior leadership role is based in New York City with a hybrid work setup.

Reporting to the regional leader, you will manage client relationships, shape local business strategy, and oversee both technical delivery and financial performance of the group.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience focused on land development.
• Experience at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level with leadership exposure.
• Strong track record in client development and relationship management.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a civil engineering team in the NYC market.
• Oversee project execution and hands-on PM activities.
• Manage financial performance including revenue forecasting.
• Drive business development and secure new projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

OverviewWe're partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary design and engineering firm looking to bring on a Civil Engineering Manager to lead and grow their presence in the New York City market.This is a senior leadership role focused on building out a civil/site team, driving revenue growth, and overseeing project delivery across a range of land development projects including commercial, mixed-use, and institutional work.You'll play a key role in shaping the local business, managing client relationships, and leading both the operational and financial performance of the group.This position is based in NYC with a hybrid work setup.Compensation: $175,000 - $215,000 + bonus potential.Your role

• Lead and grow a civil engineering team within the NYC market
• Oversee project execution, including select hands-on project management responsibilities
• Manage financial performance, including revenue tracking and forecasting
• Drive business development efforts and secure new projects
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Represent the firm at client meetings, hearings, and industry events
• Oversee team operations, staffing, and hiring
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
