Job summary

City of Wentzville, Missouri is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the planning and design approval of all public infrastructure. You will manage a team of engineers, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in project management and team leadership, with a Civil Engineering background, and Missouri PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Civil Engineering/Public Works experience.
• Missouri Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Support construction inspectors and project managers during construction of permits and CIP projects.
• Oversee planning, coordination, and design approvals for private developments and public infra projects.
• Ensure developments meet applicable codes and requirements.
• Plan and manage capital improvement program for roadways and sidewalks.
• Lead departmental programs, set priorities, assign tasks and monitor progress.
• Provide engineering design and construction support to other City divisions.
