Job summary

Crescent Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineering Lead to guide civil due diligence and design for utility-scale solar and BESS projects in Florida. You will oversee EOR deliverables, coordinate with EPCs, and support development, permitting, and construction activities.

The role requires a PE-leaning track record, 10+ years in civil engineering, and experience with large infrastructure or solar/BESS deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience with utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of site grading, drainage, stormwater management, permitting, and construction support.
• Experience managing external engineering firms and EPC contractors.

• Lead civil due diligence reviews, including ALTA surveys, geotechnical and environmental assessments, permitting, drainage, and grading.
• Manage and review Engineer of Record (EOR) deliverables throughout design milestones, including 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC.
• Support project development, constructability reviews, CAPEX estimates, and value engineering.
• Coordinate with EORs, EPC contractors, surveyors, geotechnical consultants, and internal engineering teams.
• Review RFIs, change orders, and construction-related issues throughout project execution.
• Support site development activities, including hydrology, drainage, roadway design, and grading.
• Provide technical leadership for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
