Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Sarasota, Florida office for an on-site internship. You will utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables and contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects.

You will learn discipline-specific software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS) and gain exposure to regulations and Kimley-Horn standards while

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering degree program (Bachelor's or Master’s).
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Use technical software daily to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Assist pre-construction civil design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions for future built environments.
• Familiarize yourself with federal, state, and local regulations and Kimley-Horn practices.
• Learn software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
