Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship in College Station, Texas. This on-site position offers hands-on experience in civil and environmental engineering, with exposure to real projects and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will learn and apply software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, GIS, and related tools while contributing to planning, permitting, and design efforts under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Majors include Civil/Environmental Engineering or related fields.
• Pursuing an engineering degree with strong analytical/technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Assist in pre-construction civil design, planning and permitting tasks.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support project teams and client visions.
• Learn regulations and Kimley-Horn standards relevant to projects.
• Familiarize with industry tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, GIS.
