Job summary

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) office Summer 2027! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include using technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients; contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects; collaborate with project managers and cross-disciplinary teams to turn client visions into the future built environment.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Majors include Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
  • Engineering Technology programs also accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Learn federal, state, and local regulations as well as Kimley-Horn's practices and standards.
  • Interns will learn software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
