Job summary

STV is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in a hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office per week. This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate students, with a preference for candidates able to commit to at least three months and full-time work.

You will assist in designing civil projects, coordinate with architects and environmental engineers, and interface with clients and regulators to support project success.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited University.
• Preferred knowledge in MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or Open Roads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address issues and ensure success.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments for design decisions.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs and use AutoCAD and Civil 3D in workflows.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures to projects.
• Prepare technical proposals and documentation for engineering projects.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives.
