Job summary

Burns & McDonnell invites a motivated Engineering Intern to join our Transmission & Distribution team in Fort Worth, TX. You will apply standard engineering techniques to assist design, update existing work, and support lead engineers on a range of project tasks.

The internship emphasizes data analysis, documentation, and preparing presentations while you learn from experienced engineers. A 3.0 GPA and campus involvement are preferred, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner with aptitude to grow in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions and project inquiries.
• Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement efforts.
• Present solutions to project concerns and research solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
