Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Transmission & Distribution intern to assist with filing, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations at our Wallingford, CT location. The role supports responses to general questions and participates in continuous improvement by analyzing data and presenting solutions to project concerns.

The internship emphasizes ABET-accredited program alignment, active campus or community involvement, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Involvement in campus or community activities encouraged.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow within the field.

Responsibilities

Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
Respond to general questions and support team inquiries.
Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
Present solutions to concerns and stakeholders.
Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend actions.
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
