Job summary

GHD is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support our Design & Delivery Organization this summer. You will assist engineers and project managers on water, sewer, roadways, and stormwater projects, contributing to analysis, design, and documentation.

The internship offers a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration three days a week, opportunities to learn on the job, and exposure to CADD drawings, codes, and project teamwork within a global professional services firm.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
• Understanding of Engineering fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting.
• Able to manage several tasks at once and determine priorities.
• Involvement in professional organization(s) preferred

Responsibilities

• Researching code and regulatory requirements
• Researching design options, component specifications and document findings
• Assisting with CADD drawings
• Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing facilities
