Job summary

STV Incorporated in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This hybrid role requires at least three days a week in the office, with preference for a minimum three-month commitment and potential for full-time involvement.

You will support civil design tasks, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and gain hands-on experience with industry software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
• Strong interest in civil engineering design and project collaboration.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid office setting in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project issues.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
