Job summary

GHD in Boston, MA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support our Engineering Design Organization this summer. You will assist engineers and project managers on a range of projects, including water distribution, sewer collection, pumping stations, roadways and stormwater.

This internship offers hands-on CAD support, code research, and learning on the job in a collaborative, hybrid environment with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Bachelor's or Master’s degree program.
• Understanding of Engineering fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting.
• Able to manage several tasks at once and determine priorities.
• Involvement in professional organization(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project managers on a variety of tasks for multiple projects.
• Contribute to water distribution, sewer collection, pumping stations, roadways and stormwater design.
• Assist with CAD drawings and documentation.
• Perform analysis and retrofit design for new and existing facilities.
