IMEG is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Manassas, VA. You will work with experienced engineers on design, field inspections, and reports, gaining hands-on experience across transportation and municipal projects in a 100% employee-owned firm.

This paid internship emphasizes mentorship, structured learning, and potential progression to full-time roles. You will collaborate across disciplines and contribute to projects within budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting and civil practice.
• Proficiency with MS Office; CAD/BIM familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings and client instructions.
• Conduct site observations and assist with project documentation.
