Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking a civil engineering student intern to join our Civil and Environmental Business Sector. This is a temporary full-time position at 40 hours a week and a 3-month duration, with potential extension.

You will assist engineers and project managers, perform basic design tasks, and gain exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit while traveling 20-40% for project work. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and applying learned engineering principles in real projects

Qualifications

Enrolled in a civil (or related) engineering program.
Good skills in MS Word and Excel.
Experience with drafting tools, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit preferred.
Willingness to learn Power Delivery software and other tools.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks for delivery.
Use computer programs to develop detailed designs.
Undertake technical and feasibility studies.
Ensure work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements.
Perform work under supervision of engineering staff.
Handle basic design tasks; refer complex issues to senior staff.
Travel 20-40% for project-related work.
