Job summary

AHBL, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineering intern in Spokane, WA to work with experienced engineers, applying classroom skills to real projects. You will contribute to hydraulic and drainage analyses and learn design workflows using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

This 12–14 week internship starts in May/June, at roughly 40 hours per week, with compensation of $22–$25 per hour. Benefits may apply for full-time interns, and opportunities for full-time employment exist upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program with junior-level coursework completed.
• Interest in stormwater, road, and/or utility design and teamwork.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with hydraulic/hydrology calculations and drainage studies.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and drainage reports.
• Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D on real projects.
• Internship duration: May/June start, ~40 hours/week, 12–14 weeks.
