Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern in Ontario, CA to work with experienced engineers on design, field inspections, reports, and permit applications during a 10–12 week summer program. Responsibilities include assisting with design, coordination across disciplines, and on-site observations to support project progress.

The role requires at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering, with preferred internship experience in building design consulting; CAD/BIM and MS Office skills are

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of civil projects according to code and IMEG standards
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook documentation, and permanent record files
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement
