Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Murfreesboro, TN office for an internship. This non-remote role offers hands-on experience in civil engineering design, planning, and analysis, with exposure to multiple software tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and GIS.

Responsibilities include producing deliverables, supporting pre-construction work, and collaborating with project managers across disciplines while learning applicable regulations and Kimley-Horn standards.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program (B.S. or M.S.).
• Majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Demonstrated interest in civil engineering design and software tools.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables.
• Assist pre-construction civil design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis.
• Solve complex problems and collaborate across disciplines with project managers.
• Learn and apply regulations and Kimley-Horn standards.
• Familiarize with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering

ABET-accredited engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
