HRG, an employee-owned engineering, planning, and infrastructure solution firm, seeks an Engineering Intern | Civil in State College, PA. You will support real-world projects across municipal, water resources, site design, water/wastewater, or transportation within a dedicated service group.

You will work with experienced engineers to learn and develop foundational skills for a future career in civil engineering, gaining experience through hands-on tasks and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field; preferred but not required.
• No prior professional experience required; internship or coursework in engineering is a plus.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
• Proficient use of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office; familiarity with virtual meetings and project management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic tasks in the design and development of engineering projects under supervision.
• Gather and organize project data, including code requirements and industry standards.
• Support data collection, field inspections, and preparation of technical documentation.
• Use standard office and engineering software to support project activities.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in assigned tasks.
• Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization.
